The clock in the 89-foot courthouse tower was made by the Seth Thomas Clock Company in 1935.  The clock was converted from the original weight and pulley system to electrical operation in the mid-1950s.  The Dickinson County Courthouse clock was the last weight and pulley tower clock in the State of Michigan.
