Concealed Pistol License information and applications are available online or can be picked up at the Dickinson County Clerk’s office.
Please review the included requirements to ensure that you’re eligible to apply for a concealed pistol license (the fee is non-refundable). Once you’ve verified your eligibility, you must complete the Concealed Pistol License application and submit it to the County Clerk’s office.
NOTE: Applications must be signed in front of the County Clerk.
You will need:
- Completed application (unsigned),
- Training certificate (if applicable). See below.
- New applicants and applicants that were issued a concealed license prior to July 2001 will need to bring in their Pistol Safety Training Course Certificate.
***Please note that certificates must include language stating that the safety training course complies with specific laws. Your instructor will be familiar with this specification. If your training certificate does not have the necessary language, you may contact your instructor to inquire about having the language added, or you may be required to retake the safety course.

- Cash,
- Local Dickinson County check (no out of county checks),
- Money order,
- Mastercard/Visa.
Once you’ve completed the requirements above, you will be sent to the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office to be fingerprinted. You will usually be issued your license in 4-6 weeks. Concealed Pistol Licenses are good for 5 years.
