The County Controller/Administrator is appointed by the Board of Commissioners and works under the general direction of the Board to carry out its policy directives. The County ControllerAdministrator develops and monitors the county budget, oversees the bidding and purchasing process for capital outlay items, oversees those departments not headed by elected officials, works with elected officials and department heads to ensure that county services are delivered as effectively and efficiently as possible and is responsible for the risk management needs of the county. County Board and committee agendas are also prepared by this department.
